New winter menu

We’ve just launched our new winter menu so come inside and try a delicious braised lamb shank with a veal jus or pan-fried sea bass with Alsatian Savoy cabbage and peas. Follow it up with a smooth Bailey’s crème brûlée or a hot blackberry and apple crumble.

Mid-Week offer

Stay with us on Sunday through to Wednesday nights in April and pay just £130 for a double room with breakfast (ex. VAT). That's a saving of £25 on our standard rack rate. Subject to availability, simply quote “Spring mid–week offer” when booking.

Tiramisu – the perfect ‘pick-me-up’

One of the best ways to while away a dreary day is to eat? Particularly a Tiramisu, or ‘pick-me-up‘ in Italian, probably thanks to the coffee shots it contains. If you've already tried our wickedly creamy Tiramisu you'll know that it is the perfect antidote to a showery summer. To have a go at making it try our chef Eri's recipe:

Eri’s Tiramisu – Serves four

Ingredients

Method

Beat the mascarpone, marsala, eggs, and half the sugar in a bowl. In a separate bowl, whisk remaining sugar and cream until thick. Then combine both mixes, folding together gently until smooth.

Select your martini glasses or dish, ready to fill. Soak the biscuits in coffee for a few seconds, squeezing out the excess liquid, and layer two biscuits in the base of the glass. Smooth over one spoonful of cream mixture, then layer the remaining three biscuits, ensuring they reach right to the edge of the bowl. Smooth two spoonfuls of cream mixture on top, filling the glass. Sprinkle with cocoa powder to finish.
