But this is no ordinary bed and breakfast. Surrounded by some of the UK's most innovative and exclusive retailers, as well as some of the capital's best-known restaurants, Guesthouse West is one of the most chic boutique hotels in Notting Hill, one of London's most vibrant areas.
Guesthouse West is also extremely well connected, both to the capital as a whole by taxi, bus and underground, and to the rest of the world via the newly-constructed Paddington-Heathrow rail link.

Guesthouse West has twenty double guestrooms, each en suite. Our standard rates are £155 per night for a Deluxe Double Room and £185 for a Terrace Room, both rates exclude VAT and include breakfast. The rooms are designed to be elegant, understated and functional: wireless network, flat panel TV screens, air con, broadband Internet access, skincare and toiletries by Molton Brown.
Originally built in Edwardian times as a family home, Guesthouse West still retains its friendly atmosphere from the bar/lounge and terrace through to the guestrooms and garden. Residents, however temporary, can look forward to a level of service which is state-of-the-art, yet understated and accommodating.
Guesthouse West, a boutique hotel in Notting Hill, first hit the headlines in 2004 when GuestInvest offered investors the chance to own a room at the hotel and profit from its occupancy.
Flooded with thousands of enquiries about the revolutionary buy-to-let concept, Johnny Sandelson, the founder and CEO of GuestInvest, soon realised that he had started a property revolution. Within a matter of weeks Guesthouse West’s luxury en-suite rooms had sold out.
Fast forward three years and the model has proved a resounding success with investors enjoying returns of 7.1% since launch. And as the hotel approaches its third birthday, room owners could be forgiven for celebrating a little early with the news that returns for the last quarter averaged a record 8.13%.
Following the success of Guesthouse West, GuestInvest are opening two new hotels in Central London - Nest in Bayswater, where all 157 bedrooms have been sold off-plan, and The Chiswell Street Hotel in The City. It has also led to a joint venture partnership with Bank of Scotland Corporate who recently acquired a share in GuestInvest in a debt and equity package worth £140 million.
